Edwardian - Peter Pan (J.M.Barrie)
Second book of bingo completed. I have to say, I struggled with this one as I just didn't enjoy reading it. Whilst being a film I loved growing up - and a plot I enjoyed - I found it very bitty and randomly written. There were lots of occasions where I actually found myself lost as the author took us back and forth through time and location. It was not what I imagined. However, it was a great solution to the Edwardian section of the grid and a book I had been meaning to read for quite a while. If you read this and felt the same, pop a comment below. Equally, if you completely disagree. I would love to hear people's thoughts on this one.

Immigrant - No Ballet Shoes in Syria (Catherine Bruton)
I have completed my first read of the 2021 Book Bingo and I have set the bar high! This wonderful, eye-opening book about a young girl seeking asylum from her war torn home of Syria, is a page-turner. I read it in one day as I simply couldn't put it down. Find a full review here. As you know, my favourite pastime is reading. It is my first go-to and the main reason behind my inability to update this blog as often as I would like. This year, my aim is to diversify my reading choices so I thought I would take on a reading challenge. After looking through tons, I decided to go with this beautifully designed book bingo. The categories are diverse and offer a mixture of challenging and easy reads. I also like the fact that I can go through the categories in any order I want. The bonus of a reading challenge is that it may also spur me on to update my blog more regularly - a girl can dream anyway. All credit for this brilliant challenge goes to Unruly Reader so visit the page for more information. For now, I will briefly outline the challenge below: How to Play These are taken directly from Unruly Reader.
Categories Happy reading! Let me know which books you decide to read for the different categories.
